Davido is heading to London this summer, and he is not coming alone. The Afrobeats superstar has announced his first-ever festival, Davido and Friends, set to take over the Crystal Palace Bowl in South London on Friday, 14 August 2026. The announcement landed on his social media pages on Monday and immediately sent his fanbase into a frenzy and honestly, understandably so.
‘For the first time ever, I present to you Davido and Friends Festival,’ he wrote. ‘This will be my only outdoor show I am performing in London this summer. We will be taking over the Crystal Palace Bowl on the 14th of August. Make sure you get your friends down.’
Ticket pre-sales begin on 26 March, with general sale opening the following day on 27 March.

What to Expect From the Crystal Palace Bowl Takeover

The Crystal Palace Bowl is one of South London’s most beloved outdoor venues, a natural amphitheatre with a history of hosting some of the biggest names in music. Davido will headline and curate the full day’s lineup himself, with a promise of surprise ‘friends’ yet to be officially announced. Given his extensive network across Afrobeats, Amapiano, and global pop, the guest list alone is enough reason to start making travel plans.
The festival forms part of the Palace Bowl Presents series, an eclectic summer lineup running from 31 July to 16 August 2026. Davido’s date on 14 August sits near the end of the series, giving it the feel of a grand closing moment for the South London summer season.
For British-based African music fans in particular, this is the kind of event that does not come around often, an outdoor festival curated entirely by one of the genre’s defining voices, on home turf.

A Year of Big Stages for the OBO

The London festival announcement is the latest in what has been a significant stretch of major moments for Davido. Earlier this year, he was confirmed for the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup, scheduled to perform on 11 and 18 April in Indio, California, making him the only Nigerian artist on the bill this year. That Coachella booking alone marked a significant milestone for Afrobeats’ continued penetration of the world’s most watched music festival stages.
Before that, Davido wrapped his 5ive World Tour, a run that took him across North America before returning home to Nigeria for a nationwide homecoming leg. That leg kicked off in Akwa Ibom on 26 October 2025, moving through Adamawa, Enugu, Ibadan, and Abuja, before closing with a grand finale in Lagos on Christmas Day.
Across every stop, he performed tracks from his fifth studio album 5ive, including ‘Funds’, ‘Awuke’, and ‘With You’, alongside fan favourites like ‘Dami Duro’, ‘FIA’, and ‘IF.’The Crystal Palace Bowl festival adds another landmark date to what is shaping up to be one of the busiest and most consequential years of his career.
From Coachella to South London, Davido is moving with real intention and August cannot come fast enough.
