Dr Modupe Elebute-Odunsi, a renowned physician has built the first-ever comprehensive cancer centre and specialist hospital in Nigeria, after practising medicine for over 30 years in the United Kingdom. The state-of-the-art healthcare facility was commissioned recently in Lagos, Nigeria.

The multi-billion Naira healthcare facility, Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre and Specialist Hospital (MRCC) located in Victoria Island, Lagos State is reputed to be well equipped with some of the best medical facilities in the world, including the American medical diagnostic equipment developed and supplied by the GE Healthcare and Varian.

MRCC employs the best hands in medicine and the latest technological innovation in health to provide the highest standard of care in a comfortable surrounding.

The founding medical team comprises exceptionally skilled personnel including radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, surgeons, family physicians, nurses, pharmacist, imaging technicians and more.

A graduate of the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka, Dr Modupe built the health facility to provide world-class detection, treatment of cancer and other conditions in Africa. Dr Modupe is aware of the huge gap in care for cancer patients in Nigeria and that is what she stands to solve.

Dr Modupe has partnered with medical experts in the US and UK, to work both full-time and virtually. The hospital has also agreed to partnerships with leading healthcare insurance providers in Nigeria such as AXA Mansard, BUPA, AETNA, Allianz, CIGNA, and UnitedHealth Group.
