Fade Ogunro is the Chief Executive Officer of BookingsAfrica.com, the foremost pan-African marketplace launched in 2019 to enable digital gig-work by directly connecting customers to millions of service providers instantly across the continent. The app has over 14 talent categories which include, Photography, Accountancy, Counselling, DJs, Digital Marketing, Health and Fitness, Hair Styling, Makeup, and more. Fade Ogunro is our WCW. 

Fade is the Co-owner and Head of Production at Film Factory Productions Nigeria, a video production company. She was recently appointed a member of the Global Campaign Board of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, which makes her the first African woman to become part of the organization’s board.

Fade has an impressive educational background in Journalism and Creative Writing from Roehampton University. 

Shortly after her university education, she started her career with Google in the United Kingdom. She later returned to Nigeria in 2010 and joined Radio Continental. Fade has worked for PM News, Guardian Newspaper, 234 Next and Beat 99.9 FM radio.

She is a techpreneur and innovative problem solver, with goals to impact Africa by increasing digital gig-work and self-sustainable development. In 2019, Fade started Bookings Africa, an online talent service provider that enables digital work physically and virtually. Bookings Africa currently has over 85,000 users across Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa, 60% of whom are women. The platform has over 5,000 registered service providers with notable clients such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, Estée Lauder and L’Oréal.

Fade co-founded Film Factory Productions in 2011, where she produces TV adverts, documentaries and creative contents for Guaranty Trust Bank, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Ferrari, Puma, MTV, Lancome, MTN, Airtel and more. Collectively, the projects she has produced within Africa has amassed over 1.5billion views on YouTube and has won several prestigious awards.

Fade has 15 years’ experience in Print and Broadcast Journalism, Digital Marketing, Fashion, Entertainment and Production. She has been published in Vogue UK, Guardian Newspaper Nigeria, and has produced and hosted her radio show on The Beat 99.9FM, 2011-2015 and TV shows for DSTV, 2013-2015. Fade has spoken at numerous global conferences including the Cannes Lion Festival and has hosted red carpet events for the MTV and BET Awards.

Fade Ogunro hopes to build great leaders, drive gender equality, and reduce the rate of unemployment across Africa. She believes this can be rapidly achieved through digital adoption and inclusion; where learning, training, delivering a service and making money is done digitally.
