Gbenga Ilori
Gbenga Ilori is the Executive Director of AIICO Insurance Plc, a leading non-banking financial services provider for the life, motor, travel, health insurance, and investment needs of clients.

Ilori’s experience spans across Microinsurance, Customer Experience, Brand management, Strategic marketing, Product development, Business strategy, Relationship management, Risk management and Finance.
As Executive Director, Ilori oversees the Agency distribution channel, supports the Bancassurance initiative of the Ecosystem, oversees product development, technical operations, and execution of the marketing strategy in the company.

Ilori joined AIICO in 2010, and has been instrumental to driving the retail businesses of both Life and General operations, overseeing a major re-organization of the agency network for the distribution of all retail products within the AIICO ecosystem.
Ilori led his team to establish the Annuity Desk in AIICO and trained their Agency network on Annuity opportunities in the Pension Reform Act. He and his team also pioneered the Microinsurance Business in AIICO in 2014.
Ilori completed a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos and a Master of Business Administration with specialization in Marketing from the Federal University of Technology Akure.
Ilori commenced his insurance career in1998 at Goldlink Insurance Company Limited as a marketing executive. He moved on to the defunct Perpetual Assurance Company Limited in 2000 as a pioneering branch manager of their Akure office with responsibilities for the states of Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, and Kogi.
Ilori also held various senior management and marketing positions with Royal Exchange Plc where his responsibilities included overseeing the company’s single largest customer for four years. He also had the responsibility of overseeing some major Brokers on behalf of the company.
Ilori is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School. He is also a member of the Technical Committee of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN).
