Over the years, Goge Africa has glowed at the peak of Africa’s culture and creativity by boldly showcasing and elevating the African music, dance, food, clothes and heritage to a global audience. Culled from a musical instrument – Goge, which is common among musicians in the Northern part of Nigeria, Goge Africa has spotlighted and celebrated numerous African tribes, cultures and traditions. The creative institution has flaunted Africa’s creative ingenuity to the world whilst rewriting the oddly perceived African narrative through creative culture awareness and tourism.

Goge Africa is a Pan-African culture and tourism media brand on TV and print. It was founded in 1999 by the duo of Isaac Moses and Nneka Moses. The multi-award-winning programme was conceptualized and anchored by the Nigerian couple with over 40 million television viewers and fans across the globe and in 2016, the two sparkling presenters were inducted into the Hall of Fame by NBMA. 

Having premiered on the 1st of October 1999 on Nigerian TV; African Independent Television (AIT), Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Channel 10, Degue Broadcasting Network (DBN,) and later aired on MNET AFRICA MAGIC; Goge Africa now has an extensive network in Nigeria and has covered many nations from the north, south, east and west of Africa. Currently, Goge Africa is broadcast in three continents – Africa, Europe and the United States.

Goge Africa video production and recording started in Nigeria and has since moved to various parts of Africa such as Benin Republic, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia and a host of others. The show, which was established to showcase the richness of Africa through the media has no doubt surpassed all expectations.

Having built a media-based institution on TV, radio and recently online, Goge Africa boasts of the richest presence and a proven track record spanning over two decades. The media institution is well known for its amazing local content and a rooted signature of excellence in its Pan-African projects, programmes and coverage. Goge Africa has completed over 9000 projects and has earned more than 40 awards of excellence in its over 20 years of operation.

Goge Africa TV show shines the spotlight on the rich heritage and business opportunities present in Africa to the rest of the world. The programme includes a journey of travels, culture, festivals, carnivals, arts, fashion, food, music, dance and real-time experiences presented from different touristic locations in Nigerian and on the continent. The programme has showcased various festivals across the continent such as the popular Calabar Carnival in Nigeria, the ODO Festival, the Afro Hair Culture and Beauty Festival, the Ethiopian Festival where men compete for the fattest man title, the Legendary Zaouli Masquerade that celebrates feminine beauty and The Bahamas National Festival of African Roots.

Goge Africa has hosted various tourism training in partnership with NigeriaLNG and launched Goge Africa Twin Towns initiative which is designed to connect communities across Nigeria based on shared or similar heritage.
