Headies Award: Complete List of Winners at the 14th Edition of the Headies Awards Show
The 14th Headies Awards recently recognized the achievements of Nigerian musicians who rocked the music industry with hit songs in the past year.
The 14th Headies Awards nominees list include songs released between July 2019 and September 2020. The awards ceremony took place on the 21st of February 2021. Some parts of the show were pre-recorded and the live event, which welcomed a good number of nominees and established musicians like 2baba, Wizkid, Sound Sultan and more took place at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

The 14th edition of the show was hosted by popular Comedian, Bovi and Actress/TV Host, Nancy Isime. The awards ceremony featured exciting performances from fast-rising musicians like Fireboy, Joeboy, Chike, the Cavemen and Laycon.
Fireboy led with five wins including Best Pop Album (Apollo), and Best R&B single (Tattoo) while Wizkid won two awards including Artist of the year.
Also, Nigeria’s fast rising singer, Omah Lay, emerged winner of the Next Rated award category of the show. Omah Lay won the Next Rated Award ahead of other rising stars in the music industry such as Tems, Bella Shmurda and Oxlade, who were also listed in the category. The Next Rated award category is a competitive prize dedicated to the most promising upcoming musician in the year in review (2020). This is a big win for Omah Lay as other artists nominated in the category also had a fulfilling year in the industry.
Other favourite musicians like Davido, Niniola, Falz and more also won awards.
