Ifan Michael, Timilehin Bello, Rema and Others Make Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 List
Not less than six Nigerians including Ifan Ifeanyi Michael, Timilehin Bello, Temidayo Oniosun, Amarachi Nwosu, Divine Ikubor (Rema) and Wale Lawal have been included in the 2021 Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list. Annually, Forbes Africa looks for resilient self-starters, innovators, entrepreneurs and disruptors who are braving the odds to stay the course in their field.
Now in its seventh edition, the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list highlights the continent’s talent pipeline. The list features Africans; under 30, who are innovative entrepreneurs, trailblazers, technology geeks, sports stars and other creatives leading innovations on the continent. The individuals are Africans who are leading the charge, building brands, creating jobs, and transforming the continent.
Past honourees include Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid and others. The 2021 edition had the Forbes editorial team sift through countless nominations in search of resourceful, excellent and resilient candidates who through their works, can lead change and growth on the continent.

Ifan Michael
Ifan Michael is a Nigerian creative artist and filmmaker who has dominated the West African fashion scene for years as a fashion stylist. He started his fashion styling career in 2012 and has styled several stars on the continent including Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Yvonne Nelson. Michael is also one of the most influential filmmakers in Nigeria.
Timilehin Bello
In less than two years of founding Media Panache, Timilehin Bello has established a solid footing in the Nigerian media space, gathering thought leaders to his team and proving to be one to watch out for in Africa. Since launching Media Panache in 2016, he has gone on to win several accolades including being named one of the Top 25 Innovators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa by Holmes Report.

Temidayo Oniosun
Temidayo is a Nigerian space scientist and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Space in Africa and served as the former Regional Coordinator for Space Generation Advisory Council for Africa. Temidayo holds a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure and a master’s degree in Satellite Applications from the University of Strathclyde Glasgow.
Amarachi Nwosu
Amarachi Nwosu is a Nigerian-American photographer, self-taught visual artist and Chief Executive Officer of Melanin Unscripted, a creative platform and agency aimed at dismantling stereotypes and blurring the cultural lines by exposing complex identities and cultures across the globe. Amarachi’s debut documentary “Black in Tokyo” premiered at the International Centre of Photography, New York in 2017 and was also screened in Tokyo, Japan at Ultra Super New Gallery in Harajuku.
Divine Ikubor (Rema)
Popularly known as Rema, Divine Ikubor is a singer, songwriter and rapper with several awards under his belt including the 2019 Next Rated award by the Headies and the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards for Best New Artist. Rema rose to prominence with the release of his song “Iron Man” which appeared on Barrack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist.
Wale Lawal
Wale Lawal is the Founder and Editor-In-Chief of The Republic, a journal of Nigerian and African affairs. He is as well a researcher and consulting professional who was recently named to the Quartz list of top African innovators. He is an alumnus of the University of Bath, the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford. He currently works as a Senior Researcher at Harvard Business School’s Africa Research Centre.
