Why did you decide to be an entrepreneur?

Honestly, it just happened. it was more like an idea that popped into my head and I went with it. I didn’t consciously decide or make plans on going into that beforehand.

What inspired the idea of the “shop.yetu” brand and when did you start your initiative?

I’ve always been interested in clothes, fashion, and style. it was always a struggle getting voguish beautiful clothing pieces at affordable prices to help discover my sense of style so I started thrifting and sourcing for my items in local markets around me and I was surprised at being able to get very beautiful, trendy wears at affordable prices and in great condition.

I decided to share my findings online, with people who may have had similar issues to mine; people who are looking to slay on a budget, discover their style, or just generally love fashion. I had the idea for the business and I created an Instagram page in January 2020.

What motivates you and what are the principles that guide your business?

Style. I’m a firm believer that the price of an item has nothing to do with how stylish or fashionable you can look. Therefore, my major guiding principle is sourcing for and providing beautiful, and unique items at affordable prices which would normally not go for the kind of prices we sell at shop.yetu in this day.

 In your industry, what makes you unique?

With the wide range of Items available on shop.yetu, we provide almost everything; long dresses, short dresses, playsuits, culottes, mom jeans, bikinis, shoulder bags, hats, denim skirts, jumpsuits, overalls, wrap skirts, silk slip skirts, and a lot more fashionable items.

What has been your greatest entrepreneurial success?

Turning my passion into a stable source of income, growing as a brand, and catering to numerous individuals with varying body sizes and style choices.

What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

Being able to come up with ideas and implement changes whenever I want, not necessarily having to answer to anyone, and having control over my time and creative process.

What is the most challenging of being an entrepreneur?

Everything is on you and everything is up to you. The profits, the loss, and the risk. It feels great to call the shots, however, there are times when it’s overwhelming.

Tell us about your products/services?

Shop.yetu is all about high fashion thrift items. All items being sold on our page/website are thrifts and in excellent condition. we offer a wide variety of items to cater to everyone’s style. We also have an option to stockpile for three to four weeks. we deliver nationwide using secure and traceable mediums.

All our items are sourced by us. We also post numerous new arrivals three times weekly to ensure our customers are catered for in all things fashion. We recently launched our website, www.shopshopyetu.com to enable individuals to shop seamlessly. you can shop whenever you wish 24/7.
