Kemi Adetiba Is One Of Netflix’s 55 Groundbreaking Women In Entertainment
In celebration of 2020’s International Women’s Day, Netflix has collaborated with UN Women to release a special collection titled “Because She Watched”. This series is curated by groundbreaking women in entertainment from around the world, and our own filmmaker extraordinaire, Kemi Adetiba is one of the uniquely sort out outstanding women worldwide.
Kemi Adetiba is a music video director, filmmaker, and television director whose works have appeared on Channel O, MTV Base, Soundcity TV, BET, and Netflix.
“Because She Watched” is a special Netflix collection of series, documentaries, and films to celebrate International Women’s Day.
“Because She Watched” collection will be available all year. The series is curated by female creators from behind and in front of the camera, who live all around the world, including Sophia Loren, Salma Hayek, Yalitza Aparicio, Millie Bobby Brown, Laurie Nunn, Lana Condor, Petra Costa and Ava DuVernay.

The series, films, documentaries and the creators behind them have provoked important conversations. People are challenged to see the world differently than their own beliefs or perception.
Created for International Women’s Day, the collection celebrates the stories that have inspired the women who inspire us.
