A graduate of Economics from the University of Ife, Olukorede Adenowo has over 30 years of experience in banking, finance and consulting. He is a chartered accountant and a multifunctional player with strong leadership and business development skills.

Olukorede is a founding staff of Standard Chartered Bank of Nigeria and has served in various capacities such as Regional Head of Global Corporates Africa, Managing Director, Origination and Client Corporates for Standard Chartered Bank, West and Central Africa, Deputy Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank Cameroon, Director in Wholesale Bank Regional Head of Financial Institutions and Public Sector for West Africa amongst others within Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria. He has worked with Standard Chartered Bank for 21 years.

Olukorede Adenowo was responsible for building half of Standard Chartered Bank’s corporate banking portfolio from 1999 to 2006. Prior to his appointment, he was the CEO for Standard Chartered Bank, The Gambia and was also managing Standard Chartered business interest in Senegal. Most recently in Nigeria, he has advised on accessing international capital markets and ultimately improving the banks’ visibility in the Public Sector for business success and growth in an increasingly stringent regulatory environment.

He is an alumnus of INSEAD and Saïd Business School of Oxford University where he had management training in Leadership and holds an MBA from the Lagos Business School. He is a Certified Credit Professional from Omega Performance, California, USA.
