Dr Osahon Enabulele Elected President, World Medical Association
Dr Osahon Enabulele, Former President of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), emerged as the President-elect of the World Medical Association (WMA), following an almost one week period of voting by participating National Medical Associations around the world. Osahon Enabulele is a Chief Consultant Family Physician, and the current president of the Commonwealth Medical Association (CMA). He contended against Dr Muhammad Ashraf Nizami, a professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and the President of the Pakistan Medical Association.
Nigerian Gospel Singer Sinach gets recognition from the US Congress
Sinach, a Nigerian Gospel singer was honoured with a certificate of recognition by Texas’ 18th Congressional District. The ”Way Maker” singer was also recognized by the congresswoman for organizing an outstanding performance on the 2nd of October in Houston, Texas. The event tagged ”Sinach: Night of Worship Houston Texas,” featured famous gospel singers such as Micah Stampley, Todd Dulaney, Dee Jones, and Da’dra Greathouse. Sinach is currently the winner of the Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) Song of the Year award for her song ”Way Maker.”
Victor Osimhen Wins First Serie A Award
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen picked his first major award in the Italian Serie A after he was named the player for the month of September. Out of his eight goals, his first of the season came against Udinese with a follow up of a brace against Sampdoria and adding another to his Serie A tally against Cagliari.
