Terra Kulture Hosts EIDETIC Impressions: A Solo Art Exhibition by Creative 12-Year Old, Zizah Okeugo

As World Autism Awareness Day approaches, Zizah Okeugo is presenting a solo exhibition titled: “Eidetic Impressions”. The talented 12-year old presents a rare peek into his creative mind in the showcase. 

The opening reception takes place on World Autism Awareness Day, 2^nd of April 2021 at Terra Kulture, plot 1376 Tiamiyu Savage, Victoria Island, Lagos. The exhibition will hold from the 2^nd of April to the 11^th of April 2021. 

Zizah Okeugo was diagnosed with autism at age 4, and thus spent his early years as a non-verbal introverted child. By discovering art and music as representations of life, beauty and expression, Zizah Okeugo is rising above autism and epilepsy. 

He is intentionally engaging with his surroundings and family, especially by taking the bold step to host his own solo exhibition: Eidetic Impressions.

The exhibition is a showcase of Zizah’s best works of art, which includes portraits, still life painting, and nature painting. Zizah’s use of colours in his works truly gives a peek into his beautiful mind. His drawings and paintings reflect his unique and imaginative capabilities to capture and recreate scenes and events quickly from memory.
