Wizkid Wins NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album – Brown Skin Girl
After recently pulling off a brilliant win at the 63rd Grammy Awards for Best Music Video – Brown Skin Girl, revolutionary Afro-pop artiste, Wizkid has astounded us with yet another achievement.
At the 52nd NAACP Image Awards, Beyonce’s ’Brown Skin Girl’ featuring Wizkid was announced ’Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album’ of the year. This makes Wizkid a winner of the 2021 NAACP Image Award for his collaboration with Beyonce on ’Brown Skin Girl’, making it his second NAACP award.
In 2020, the award-winning singer left fans astonished when he became the first Nigerian artist ever to win an NAACP Image Award. Then, he took position for the ‘Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration’ category, also on ’Brown Skin Girl’ by Beyonce featuring Saint JHN and Blue Ivy.
At the 2021 Headies Awards, the highly decorated singer also won the Artist of the Year and Viewer’s Choice Awards categories. Wizkid has gained recognition for being the most awarded artist in the Headies Awards history, most awarded African artist at the BET Awards, Soul Train Awards, Billboard Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and MOBO Awards.

The National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP) Awards is a prestigious award ceremony organized to honour the brilliant and outstanding accomplishments of people of colour in the world of film, television, music and literature. It also recognizes individuals or groups who promote social justice through their various creative endeavors.
This is a record-breaking win for Wizkid, his fans and the entire Nigerian/African music industry.
