Africa Tech Festival 2025: Here’s All You Need to Know

This November, Cape Town will once again transform into the beating heart of Africa’s digital ecosystem as it welcomes Africa Tech Festival 2025. Scheduled for November 11–13 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), the festival promises to bring together over 15,000 attendees, 300 exhibitors, and 450 speakers for three days of groundbreaking dialogue, discovery, and collaboration.

Now in its 28th year, the Africa Tech Festival remains the continent’s most significant showcase of enterprise technology and innovation. It goes beyond the buzzwords — this is where telecom giants, AI researchers, startup founders, and government policymakers converge to explore how technology can solve real African challenges and drive inclusive growth.

From AI and data centres to green ICT, fintech, and digital infrastructure, the event spans every sector shaping Africa’s innovation landscape. Four major sub-events—AfricaCom, AfricaTech, AfricaIgnite, and The AI Summit Cape Town—anchor the festival, offering something for every stakeholder in the tech value chain.

The choice of Cape Town as host city isn’t just symbolic—it’s strategic. The Cape Town–Stellenbosch tech corridor is home to over 450 tech firms and employs nearly 40,000 professionals. With its dynamic startup ecosystem, access to talent, and world-class infrastructure, Cape Town has earned its reputation as Africa’s tech capital.

Backed by strong digital infrastructure, renewable energy initiatives, and an expanding innovation footprint, the city demonstrates how technology can power economic inclusion and sustainability.

As Kadi Diallo, Portfolio Manager for Africa Tech Festival, puts it:

“Cape Town isn’t just where the Africa Tech Festival happens. The city embodies the collaboration and ingenuity that define Africa’s tech story.”
