Juliet Anammah, the current Chairperson of the Board of Jumia Nigeria, who is also Head of Institutional Affairs across Africa is our WCW today. Juliet Anammah was recently appointed as a director on the board of Flour Mills of Nigeria.

Juliet Anammah is an experienced professional with over 28 years of experience in the consumer product industry, excellent product creation, high-profile brand building and executive leader in various sectors including: Business/Management Consulting and e-commerce. Juliet Anammah is an e-commerce power player in Africa, with a proven track record of birthing value, growth and development in various organizations.

Juliet Anammah holds a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a Masters of Business Administration from Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) and the Lagos Business School. She is an alumnus of the Wharton School, Philadelphia, where she learned Business Strategy, Finance, Ethics and Leadership. She is a Fellow of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative and Yale University. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors in Nigeria.

Prior to her appointment as Head of Institutional Affairs in Jumia, Juliet Anammah marked significant achievements as the Chief Executive Officer of Jumia Nigeria from 2015 till 2020. At Jumia Nigeria, Juliet Anammah delivered the company’s vision through her many achievements. Under her leadership, she initiated developments that turned the fortune of the e-commerce company around by employing dynamic marketing strategies. With this, Jumia became the first-stop in Nigeria and the largest in Africa. Her industrial knowledge also led to the transition of Jumia Nigeria from being an online retailer to an online marketplace, expanding in operations to include: e-commerce, travel booking, food retail, and finance. By virtue of her knowledge and expertise, Jumia Nigeria was the first African tech company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2019.

Until her appointment to the Board of Directors, Flour Mills Nigeria Plc, Juliet Anammah serves as the Chairperson and Head of Institutional Affairs, Jumia Group, where she was appointed in January 2020. 

Juliet Anammah’s recent appointment to the Board of Directors, Flour Mills Nigeria Plc was informed by impressive performances in her career and need for the board to develop the company beyond its present state. Speaking on her appointment, the Chairman of the Board, Flour Mills Nigeria said,
