Nigerians Volunteer to Partner with Flying Doctors Nigeria to Start the First Drive in Testing Centers for Nigerian COVID-19 Patients
Dr Ola Orekunrin, the founder and CEO of the Flying Doctors Nigeria recently made a call to Nigerian Medical Practitioners and Professionals to join hands with her and the members of Flying Doctors to start the first drive in testing centres for COVID-19 patients on Twitter.
Impressively, Nigerian medical professionals responded positively, pledging to volunteer their time and resources to join in the fight against COVID-19.
Even more remarkable, non-medical volunteers, also indicated their eagerness to avail themselves to the project.
Flying Doctors Nigeria is a Medical Emergency Service that specializes in air ambulances, medevac, medico-logistics services, remote site medical solutions services, medical infrastructural development and medical training services.
It is an award-winning service, the first indigenous Air Ambulance in West Africa and recently celebrated 10 years in operation.

Tweeting cheerfully thereafter, Dr. Ola Orekunrin Brown stated, “A few hours ago, I said ‘the biggest problem’ will be human resources, no doctors/nurses will want to do it then, this happened!”
Despite the severity of the global pandemic, no one has allowed themselves to just sit back and fold their arms.
Nigerians volunteer to partner with Flying Doctors alongside other forces, showing up fully prepared to combat Covid-19. This is the definition of true patriotism.
Suffice to say, Nigerians are selfless people, caring for one another despite our differences, even at the risk of putting ourselves in harm’s way.
Nigerians are great people who are ready to do whatever, is humanly possible for the good of all with or without potential financial gain.
Similar to the manner in which Nigeria overcame the Ebola endemic based on sheer determination and selflessness, we will certainly overcome COVID-19 and come back stronger.
We celebrate the great Nigerians that have volunteered. We salute you and are very proud of you!
