Softcom was founded in 2007 by Yomi Adedeji and Omoseindemi Olobayo, with the aim of helping organizations scale up through technology. Yomi Adedeji holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Covenant University and is an alumnus of Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Harvard University. Omoseindemi Olobayo, currently the Chief Solutions Officer is an alumnus of Covenant University and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Softcom channels its energy towards four foundational areas – Identity, Learning, Payment and Data. The company partners with other organizations to drive innovative tech-products in Africa and by extension, creating solutions that have impacted the lives of over 500,000 people on the continent. Softcom has developed software applications and devices for firms across its major areas and has managed several financial technology products that have simplified payment chain in Africa. It has also championed some tech-focused initiatives that have enabled solutions to government, financial institutions, telecoms and retails.

The company has executed several projects for top companies like the Trade Visibility Evaluation exercise for MTN and others. Through innovative Data Beaver solution developed for Field Force Management, Softcom deployed agents across 178 cities in 35 states of the country to measure MTN’s visibility share in comparison with its competitions. Also, the company initiated a Patient Adherence System for GlaxoSmithKline and ‘Edusocial,’ a mobile learning solution for Covenant University. Softcom has also deployed technological platforms for companies such as Gino, Coca-Cola, Honeywell Flour Mills Plc, Learn Africa, Microsoft, Patec Group, The Rockefeller Foundation, Samsung, Bank of Industry and more. 

Driven by a passion for educational growth, Softcom collaborated with Diamond bank and Samsung in 2015 to set up a technology intervention fund worth 100 million for education development in Nigeria. As a technical partner with the Federal Government of Nigeria, Softcom designed and built the N-Power employment program in 2016.

In 2018, Softcom founded Eyowo, a financial platform that enables both online and offline financial transactions using phone numbers. Eyowo was designed as a solution for poor connectivity and slow adoption of smartphones, thus improving financial inclusion of Nigerians and people across the globe. Recognized by the Federal Government for creative innovations, Softcom was included as part of the presidential advisory team set up by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to advice on private-public partnerships and tech-collaboration.

Softcom continues to contribute significantly to many companies by developing several innovative technologies, leading organizations through current innovations that align with their business objectives as well as positioning them to become more visible in a fast-paced internet circle.
