US-based Show, AfroZons Premieres in Nigeria
Popular United States radio show, AfroZons will have a new segment premiered in Nigeria on the 9th of October 2020. The segment would be hosted by Sheila Okonjie-Ashinze, a Nigerian-American Media Personality who is also the creator of AfroZons in the United States. Themed, ‘How Far with Sheila O,’ the show will air every Friday and Monday at 10.30 pm on HIP TV, DSTV.
Sheila Okonjie-Ashinze, popularly called Sheila O is the first female media personality to host a nationally-syndicated Afro beats show in the United States on mainstream terrestrial platforms. She started AfroZons in 2017 with presence in Chicago, Washington DC, Houston, Miami and aired nationally on SiriusXM HURVoices Channel 141. However, following the success of the radio show since its launch, Sheila brings a new television segment ‘How Far with Sheila O’ to Nigeria. The show is sponsored by Star Radler and Fayrouz of Nigerian Breweries.

The show will welcome musical geniuses, trend setters, entertainers and will bring changes and growth to the African entertainment industry. The ‘Talk the Talk’ segment of the show will allow guests to share their views on the disparity between Africans and African Americans as well as feasible solutions to help bridge the gap. Also, the show will host top Nigerian musicians like 2 Face Idibia, Tiwa Savage, Omowunmi, Yemi Alade, Dare as well as foreign artists.
Discussing the highlights of the show, Sheila O disclosed that viewers can anticipate lots of exciting
engagements on the show. She said,

celebrities, influencers, key contributors, entertainment news in music, arts, Interactive viewer
engagement and participation, Question and Answer and new material; music, projects and movies.”
