Access Bank, Dangote Foundation and Others join forces to build 1,000 bed tents for COVID-19
Access bank, a leading full-service commercial bank, on Wednesday recently announced its collaboration with the Dangote Foundation and other organizations across industries to complement the Nigerian Government’s effort in the fight against COVID-19.
The CEO of Access bank, Herbert Wigwe stated that Access bank and its partners would be building 1000-bed tents to be used as testing, isolation, treatment and training centers for the COVID-19 virus in Nigeria.
Consequently, work has commenced to ensure these facilities are completed in good time. The bank will continue to update the public as, the project progresses.
The statement read thus, “in addition to the safety measures we have put in place and ensuring business continuity, we are also extending support to complement Government’s efforts in the fight against Covid-19.
We have created the Nigeria Coalition Against COVID-19 (NCAC), tasked with the public awareness, and directing support to private and public healthcare institutions.

We are pulling resources across industries to provide technical and operational support while providing funding and building advocacy through aggressive awareness drives.
These centers will be fully equipped with medical equipment, supplies and trained personnel to cater to anyone who may become affected.
We are also bringing Chinese experts to provide technical and training support to our medical practitioners.
We are working with the Dangote Foundation and other organizations across industries to drive this initiative.
It is important to point out that the task ahead, is daunting and not one organization can do it alone. Hence, the need for collaboration to ensure we win together.
Work has commenced to ensure these facilities are completed in good time, to serve the growing need of the population during this critical period.
