Chika Madubuko, the Entrepreneur Connecting Professional Caregivers to the Aged and Vulnerable

In a growing and competitive digital health space, Chika Madubuko, a business professional, Biotechnologist and Chief Executive Officer of Greymate Care is using technology to connect the elderly at home to trained caregivers in Nigeria. Chika Madubuko is led by the passion to serve those who are in dire need of quality healthcare.
Chika’s Greymate Care is an online platform that connects the elderly to vetted caregivers right in the comfort of their homes. Greymate Care trains people who want to become caregivers, ensure they have guarantors and are available to be deployed to homes. To enhance trust, each caregiver on the platform provides two references who are in senior positions in credible organizations, to act as guarantors for them.
Chika Madubuko completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Anambra State, and a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology and Bioengineering from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom (UK).
Chika’s career spans three continents and blue-chip multinationals such as Amazon and Diageo. She worked as an Inbound Quality Control Officer at Amazon UK before she moved back to Nigeria. In Nigeria, she served as a Business Development Manager at the country’s pioneer agritech company, Novus Agro where she increased its market share and launched the ‘Money at Hand’ campaign. After Novus Agro, Chika joined Guinness Nigeria Plc as a Business Development/Sales Executive and was instrumental to the rise in Malta Guinness’ market share in Northern Nigeria.

Chika’s mission is to provide access to quality healthcare for the vulnerable, address the shortage of good healthcare professionals and create employment through working with global agencies such as the United Nations Development Programme to train youth to become caregivers.
Greymate Care has partnered with companies and individuals that have corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives targeted at the elderly. These companies and individuals pay for those who can’t afford access to quality healthcare.
Chika has received awards including She Leads Africa Accelerator Bronze Prize sponsored by Intel US, OCP Africa and GTB. She represented Nigeria at the Women in Africa Initiative hosted in Morocco and was announced as the University of Hertfordshire’s International Alumnus/Alumna of the year 2020.
