Expect Tomi Adeyemi’s “Children Of Blood And Bone” On the Big Screen
Tomi Adeyemi‘s best selling fantasy novel “Children of Blood and Bone” will now be on the big screen. The theatrical adaptation will be produced by Paramount Pictures in collaboration with Marty Bowen of Temple Hill Entertainment, Karen Rosenfelt of Sunswept Entertainment, and Wyck Godfrey. Tomi Adeyemi will write the script, supervise and also executive produce the big-screen live-action.

”Children of Blood and Bone” published in 2018, is Adeyemi’s debut novel and the first book in the Legacy of Orïsha trilogy. The book and its sequel ”Children of Virtue and Vengeance” (2019) are published by Henry Holt Books for Young Readers. According to Adeyemi in a recent Instagram post, the third and final book in the trilogy will be published in 2023.

The New York Times bestselling West African-inspired novel implores a stunning world of dark magic and danger. Adeyemi drew inspiration from novels like Harry Potter and An Ember in the Ashes as well as West African mythology and the Yoruba culture and language.
