Wizkid Receives MTV VMA Nomination for “Brown Skin Girl”
Nigerian star singer Wizkid received two nominations for MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) in ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best R&B’ for his feature on Beyonce‘s “Brown Skin Girl.” The superstar, who rose to prominence after releasing “Holla at Your Boy”, the lead single from his debut studio album, “Superstar” has now featured alongside many top talents in the international music industry.
Dr Abiodun Adereni’s HelpMum receives Funding from Global Youth Resiliency Fund
HelpMum, a health-technology startup founded by Dr Abiodun Adereni is among the 28 social enterprises from 15 countries across the globe that would receive funding from GYRF. HelpMum would use part of this funding to create more digital Health Tutorial content for their Proprietary E-learning Platform for community health workers in another African language.
Ola Williams, Microsoft’s Newly Appointed Country Manager for Nigeria
Ola Williams was recently announced as the new Country Manager for Microsoft Nigeria. Following her appointment, she succeeds Akin Banuso, the Enterprise Commercial Lead for the Middle East and Africa – Multi market region. She joins Microsoft’s Middle East and Africa – Multi market region’s Leadership team reporting directly to Microsoft’s Middle East and Africa – Multi market region’s General Manager, Ibrahim Youssry.
