Tunde Onakoya Signs Three-Year Grant Deal With Lufthansa Airline’s Global Help Alliance To Build A Chess Academy and STEM Innovation Lab in Lagos, Nigeria
Nigerian Chess master, and Founder of Chess in Slums, Tunde Onakoya has just signed a three-year grant deal with Lufthansa airline’s help alliance.
According to Tunde, the deal will enable the organization to build a chess academy and STEM innovation lab in Lagos, Nigeria, which will be open and free to street children who have no access to education.

Excited, Tunde revealed on his official Instagram page; “Happy to announce that we @chessinslums just signed a three-year grant deal with @lufthansa airlines Global help alliance to build a Chess academy and STEM innovation Lab in Lagos Nigeria”.
This deal is a dream come true for Tunde, as he had always desired to build the biggest chess academy in the world that could become a safe learning haven for children from poverty without access to education to learn relevant skills for the future of work.
Tunde believes that this partnership is the beginning of something beautiful that will be beneficial to everyone.
