RefinedNG is a News and Media platform focused on telling positive stories that promote Nigeria and Nigerians. We are looking for creative and enthusiastic interns across various roles. In these entry-level roles, selected interns will get a chance to learn important skills and gain professional experience. Our ideal interns have basic design skills to produce high-quality, trendy content for social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook; web management skills; content writing; and digital marketing skills. Content Writing Intern

We are looking for a Content Writing Intern to join our team and enrich our websites and social platforms with relatable and engaging posts. If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare well-structured drafts 
• Proofread and edit website posts before publication
• Submit work for input and approval
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Promote content on social media
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Update website content as needed

Website Manager (Intern)

We are interested in a Website Manager (intern) with an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) strategies. The ideal intern will work with current administrators to oversee the functionality of the website, evaluate and manage website performance, facilitate hosting and server management, develop and maintain website content. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the organization’s website.
• Respond to and troubleshoot website issues.
• Identify and respond to website security breaches.
• Ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures.
• Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
• Create appropriate website content aligned with the organization’s strategy.
• Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
• Improve the User Experience of the website.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards.
• Create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics.
• Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
• Keep up to date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites.

Social Media/ Digital Marketing Intern

The Social Media/Digital Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting in a range of marketing initiatives within the organization. They will support the digital media staff to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
• Assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Produce website and social media content
• Support our digital marketing team
• Complete other administrative tasks as needed
