According to Forbes, Africa’s Tech Hubs have Grown by 40% This Year. With 85 hubs, Nigeria has the most advanced ecosystem and Lagos is the top innovative city in Africa with over 40 hubs.

According to research conducted by Briter Bridges and the GSMA Ecosystem Accelerator program, which identified an “innovation quadrangle” encompassed by Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, and Kenya, an active tech hub is defined as “an organisation currently active with a physical local address, offering facilities and support for tech and digital entrepreneurs.

Africa’s technology ecosystems have reportedly experienced tremendous growth as they have rapidly expanded in recent years, with a total of 618 active tech hubs providing “the backbone of Africa’s tech ecosystem,” according to the GSMA.
