Founded by BudgIT in July 2014, Tracka as a tool creates access to data for Active Citizens interested in following the budgetary provisions in their communities.
Tracka is a community of active citizens tracking the implementation of government projects in their community to ensure service delivery. Tracka enables people collaborate, track and give feedback on public projects in their community. Tracka is a project by BudgIT. Tracka informs the community of projects, amounts and location (If available). Tracka assists community members in getting the location of the projects and the update of the projects.
In the past three years, TRACKA has monitored over 15064 Constituency Projects and has engaged more than 8335 communities across 25 states in the country. The focus on constituency Projects is borne out of necessity to include citizens in community development & resources accountability.
