Nigerian footballer, Assisat Oshoala has partnered with Nike Football and Amsterdam-based Women Win to launch the Assisat Oshoala Football Academy in Nigeria. The Assisat Oshoala Football Academy is an initiative created to provide access to sports and education for young girls in Nigeria.
The Asisat Oshoala Foundation, which was set up by the footballer in 2015, will be responsible for the daily management of the new project. Women Win will also help hasten the academy’s development.
The Assisat Oshoala Academy will provide 30 girls between the ages of 12 and 18, with access to football training for 90 minutes; three times a week. This will be followed with life skills and education around women empowerment and rights.
