Oladimeji Ajegbile is the CEO and co-founder of FotoPool, an end-to-end event and photo-sharing platform available on iOS and Google Play. Through the app, the Ibadan-born entrepreneur helps people worldwide capture shared memories while establishing himself as one of Nigeria’s standout figures in tech and the creator space.

From a Materials Business at 15 to a Design Degree
Ajegbile’s entrepreneurial streak started early. Raised in Ibadan as the last of five children, he launched his first business, a materials and printing venture, at just 15, growing it into a $50,000 enterprise by the time he was 19.
He earned both a BSc and an MSc in Architecture and Design from Bells University of Technology. There, he first explored the link between space, creativity, and human behaviour—a core theme that still shapes his work in UX and product design today
Not every early venture succeeded; a furniture business he started later folded, a setback he has spoken about publicly as a formative lesson in resilience.
Three Ventures, One Focus: Building for People
Ajegbile describes himself as a three-time founder. Before FotoPool, his ventures included OE Demy, an Afrocentric design school that has trained more than 50,000 students, an Afrocentric stock-image library used by an estimated 250 million people globally, and Virtu, a venture focused on experience-driven, sustainable home design.
FotoPool, his current flagship, began as a simple tool for event guests to collect and share photos. It saved photos from getting lost across scattered phones and WhatsApp threads. Today, it is a full event platform offering ticketing, guest-list management, AI photo search, and shared galleries under the handle @fotopoolapp.

Speaking, Coaching, and Staying Grounded
Beyond FotoPool, Ajegbile works as a UX consultant, a qualified life coach, and an international speaker, recent appearances include a panel at Stake Summit’s “Claiming Culture: The Creator Panel” and a speaking slot at the Moment 2026 conference.
Now based in Scotland with his wife and son, he has been open about balancing full-time founder life with fatherhood, often framing his content around “documenting the figuring out” rather than presenting a finished picture of success.
It’s a framing that has clearly resonated: across platforms, his audience engages not just with his product updates, but with his reflections on creativity, burnout, and building slowly rather than chasing hype.
