Hit track by Wizkid and Tems, “Essence” has topped the Billboard Hot 100, a huge win for both singers. Essence debuted at Number 82 on the Billboard’s Hot 100 list, making it Tems first chart appearance.
This feat was confirmed on the official Twitter page of the Billboard Charts on the 12th of July 2021.

“Essence,” the 11th track off Wizkid’s Made in Lagos album became the first African song on Apple Music Top 30 chart recently.
