Arese Ugwu’s “The Smart Money Woman” Series is Coming to Netflix

”The Smart Money Woman” is now confirmed as one of Netflix Naija’s latest acquisitions. The series is making its entry and debut on Netflix in September. The 13-episode television series premiered in September 2020.
Arese Ugwu is the Executive Director of
“The Smart Money Woman” TV series, an adaptation of her 2016 book with the same title. The series includes a cast featuring Toni Tones, Ini Dima-Okojie, Osas Ighodaro Ajibade, Lala Akindoju and Ebenezer Eno. It follows Zuri, (Osas Ighodaro) on her journey to financial liberation.
Each episode addresses topical issues surrounding debt, spending, the consumerist culture of the African middle class, the fear and misconceptions surrounding money and the lack of it, love, friendships, cultural and societal pressures and the roles they play in success.
Sharing the news recently, she wrote;
“It still blows my mind that this all started with a book I wrote in my pyjamas!
And it’s even more incredible that you all watched it unfold from publishing the book, going on a Pan African book tour, The process of converting it into a Tv series… I’m so grateful guys… thank you for riding with me…. WE have a Netflix show!”

Arese Ugwu, popularly known as Smart Money Arese is an entrepreneur and author of the book; Smart Money Woman. She is also a proud advocate of financial literacy.
